SERIES 6

Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative Exam

As stated by FINRA, the exam assesses the competency of an entry-level representative to perform their job as an investment company and variable contracts products representative.

You are required to first pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam. Zahn’s experienced team is ready to help you pass the exam on your first try.

Series 6 exam: 50 questions | 70% passing score | 50 hours prep time.

  • Exam Duration 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Starting from October 1, 2018, FINRA implemented a significant testing restructuring. New candidates are now mandated to successfully complete the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam in addition to passing the Series 6 exam in order to attain registration for Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products.

SERIES 6 EXAM

The Series 6 exam is a prerequisite for registered representatives who deal in investment companies, variable annuities, and life insurance contracts. To become registered as a representative, individuals must successfully pass both the SIE and Series 6 exams.

The Series 6 exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
